Westboro Baptist fights to destroy all it hopes to accomplish.

There is a group of christian morons going around holding protests at funerals for fallen soldiers claiming that the soldiers deaths could be attributed to Gods anger over "our" (the USA's) acceptance of homosexuality and immorality. Westboro Baptist Church even went as far as to protest at the death site of the fallen miners recently in West Virginia, holding signs that read "you are going to hell". Typically I avoid religious behaviour because its "ridiculous-ness" is too foul for me to contemplate on a serious level. This time its different. The daughter of this churches pastor(Fred Phelps) is apparently a lawyer and after losing a suit against a Pennsylvania man who's son was targeted by one of the churches many, rude and senseless, protests she is fighting to have the suit overturned based upon the freedom of speech set forth in the first amendment. Essentially, the very same law that protected the likes of Larry Flynt (owner and president of Hustler Magazine) Will be used as a defense in this case. It seems that the people at Westboro Baptist are more concerned with offending others than they are in protecting us all from the evil sexual behavior they claim has destined us all to an eternity in hell. If Westboro is so hell bent on saving souls then why use the very law that protects the most vile and destructive behaviour from being banned as their shield? If Westboro Baptist really wanted to help their cause they would purposely lose this case in an effort to regain some of the social integrity they claim we have lost. No. I don't think that's their aim. Their aim is to attract the kind of religious zealots we read about in the associated press who give every penny to the church and go out in a blaze of religious glory after bombing a daycare center because it read Whinny the pooh and "that darned Tigger just seems gay".
